How to Take a Course

Follow this process to select a course, review its materials, complete
the assessment, and obtain your certificate of completion.

Before Beginning

Confirm Your Account and Course Selection

Sign in to the account associated with your active SurveyorCE
membership. Your student dashboard provides access to enrolled
courses, course progress, assessment activity, and available
completion records.

Before enrolling, review the course description, subject matter,
credit hours, learning objectives, and any stated completion
requirements. Confirm that the course is relevant to your
professional practice and licensing needs.

Course Process

Complete the Course Step by Step

Complete the required activities in sequence so your progress and
assessment results are properly recorded.

01

Select and Open the Course

Browse the catalog, open the desired course page, and review its
description, objectives, credit hours, and requirements.

02

Enroll in the Course

Use the enrollment control on the course page. The course should
then appear in your student dashboard.

03

Review the Educational Material

Work through all required lessons and course documents in their
assigned order. Do not proceed based solely on prior familiarity.

04

Mark Required Lessons Complete

Use the course completion controls where provided so Tutor LMS can
record your progress and unlock subsequent activities.

05

Complete the Assessment

Answer the examination questions and submit the assessment. A
minimum score of 70 percent is required unless the course states
a different requirement.

06

Complete the Course

After passing the assessment, complete any remaining required
activity and confirm that Tutor LMS records the course as completed.

07

Download the Certificate

Open the completed course or student dashboard and download the
certificate of completion while your membership remains active.

08

Retain Your Records

Save the certificate and supporting course information for the
record-retention period required by your licensing jurisdiction.

Course Materials

Review the Complete Educational Content

Course documents and lessons contain the educational material
necessary to understand the subject and complete the assessment.
Students should review the complete material before attempting
the examination.

Course files may be downloaded for personal educational use when
a download option is provided. Course materials remain protected
by applicable copyright and intellectual-property restrictions.

Course Assessment

Passing the Examination

The assessment verifies that the student reviewed and understood the
principal course material.

Passing Score

The standard SurveyorCE passing score is 70 percent unless a
specific course identifies a different requirement.

Additional Attempts

If an attempt is unsuccessful, review the course material before
beginning another permitted attempt.

Recorded Results

Assessment attempts and completion status are recorded under the
student account used to take the course.

Download each certificate promptly after completing the course.
Online access to certificates may end when the membership expires,
but professional licensing boards may require the student to retain
completion records for several years.
